Introduction
One of the seven wonders of the world, the Great Barrier Reef is the largest and most diverse reef system in the world. It stretches for more than 2,800km, comprising of thousands of individuals reefs, intersected by hundreds of tropical islands.
The Seminar
The seminar is an experience designed to immerse participants in an offshore diving environment. You will travel to the outer reef and spend five days aboard the liveaboard vessel Reef Encounter.
The seminar aims to introduce and explore the fundamentals of dive medicine through lectures, case studies, and hands on water skill sessions.
The seminar combines 12 hours of CPD with up to 17 dives including night dives.
The week will be facilitated by experienced clinicians with a passion for diving.
The seminar is perfect for the clinician looking to deepen their understanding of dive medicine, whilst enjoying some of the best diving Australia has to offer. The seminar is claimable as CPD hours for paramedicine, nursing and medicine.
Dates and Duration and Dive Requirements
14th to the 18th of August 2023.
This seminar starts at the Cairns Marina on the 14th of August 2023 with registration occurring aboard the transfer vessel at 0730 hours.
Participants are required to be certified divers with PADI, SSI or an equivalent agency.

$2,500 (includes GST)
A deposit of $650 is required to secure your place.

Send us an email (explore@explorariskmedical.org) or submit the form below and we will send you an invoice for a deposit to secure your place. Following your initial deposit your position will be confirmed and you will receive a Welcome & Information Pack as well as a balance invoice.
Balances are not due until 8 weeks prior to the Seminar start date.
A full refund will be provided if this seminar is cancelled due to COVID 19.
Balances are refundable up to 8 weeks prior to the Seminar start date minus the initial deposit. Please note that we are not responsible for bookings made in addition to this program and therefore please ensure to check the cancellation terms on your other travel arrangements (eg. flights and extra accommodation) when making your bookings.
